  • 240 grams Koukakis Farm butter
  • 150 grams granulated sugar
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 330 grams all-purpose flour
  • Mastic powder
  • 1/2 tsp liquid vanilla
  • 1 egg white
  • 100 grams sliced almonds
  1. We put the butter in a bowl and beat it until fluffy.
  2. Add the granulated sugar and beat until the sugar and butter form a creamy mixture.
  3. Add the egg yolk and mastic powder.
  4. Crush the almonds for the almond cookies.
  5. Add the almonds and gradually the flour, mixing until the dough is homogeneous.
  6. The dough should be soft.
  7. Take small pieces of dough and shape them into round, flat cookies.
  8. After shaping all cookies, dip them in the egg white and immediately coat with sliced almonds.
  9. Place the almond cookies on baking trays lined with parchment paper, making sure there is space between them.
  10. Bake in a well-preheated oven at 160°C with fan for about 30 minutes until nicely browned.
