Apple Pie – Recipe from Koukakis Farm

  • 250 g self-rising flour
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 225 g butter
  • 300 g granulated sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 4 apples (800 g)
  • 40 g cognac
  • 110 g Koukakis Farm milk
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp cloves
  1. We peel and cut the apples into small cubes.
  2. Sift the flour and baking powder into a bowl.
  3. Butter and flour a baking pan.
  4. Preheat the oven to 180°C.
  5. In a bowl, beat the butter and sugar until the sugar dissolves and the mixture becomes fluffy.
  6. While beating, add the eggs one by one.
  7. Lower the mixer speed to low.
  8. Add half of the sifted flour with the baking powder.
  9. Add the cognac, milk, cinnamon, and cloves.
  10. Add the apples and the remaining flour.
  11. Pour the mixture into the prepared pan and place it in the oven.
  12. Bake in a well-preheated oven at 180°C for about 55 minutes until it rises and turns golden brown.
