CHOCOLATE CAKE – RECIPE FROM KOUKAKIS FARM

  • 2 ready-made sponge cakes
  • 500 g couverture chocolate
  • 300 g Koukakis Farm milk
  • 400 g heavy cream

Syrup:

  • 1/2 cup water
  • 3 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 tablespoon cocoa powder
  • Grated chocolate / wafer sticks
  1. Mix the ingredients for the syrup over medium heat and let them boil for 2 minutes.
  2. Once cooled, syrup the sponge cakes.
  3. Chop the couverture chocolate into small pieces.
  4. Heat the milk, pour it over the chopped couverture, and stir until melted.
  5. Let it cool, then gently fold in the whipped cream.
  6. Place one sponge cake in a springform pan (preferably with a removable bottom) and spread half of the cream on top.
  7. Cover with the second sponge cake and spread the remaining cream.
  8. Refrigerate the cake for about 8 hours.
  9. Remove it from the fridge and carefully unmold it once it reaches room temperature.
