Pasta Pie – Recipe from Koukakis Farm

  • 1 package phyllo dough
  • 1 package pasta (for pastitsio)
  • 2 tbsp Koukakis Farm butter
  • 5 eggs
  • 200 g Koukakis Farm yogurt
  • 2½ cups Koukakis Farm milk
  • 500-600 g feta cheese
  • Salt, pepper
  • Half a cup olive oil for the phyllo sheets
  1. Boil the pasta.
  2. Add the butter and stir until melted.
  3. Set the pasta aside to cool, and beat the eggs and yogurt in a bowl.
  4. Then add the milk and the cheese (grated).
  5. Add salt and pepper to the pasta and return it to the pot.
  6. Stir until the pasta becomes creamy.
  7. In a deep baking dish, lay the first six phyllo sheets, brushing olive oil between each layer.
  8. Pour the filling over.
  9. Cover with the remaining phyllo sheets, brushing olive oil between them.
  10. Fold the edges of the sheets inward by twisting them.
  11. Score the surface into pieces.
  12. Bake in a well-preheated oven at 180°C for about 1 hour.
